The University of Haifa offers an international MPH program with a specialization in health system administration and global health leadership. This program is conducted in English and allows healthcare professionals and managers from around the globe to broaden their professional skillset and get to know the Israeli healthcare industry.
 
The main goal of this international track is training professionals to assume leadership, practical am dedicational roles in the global health field. During their studies they gain knowledge and practical skills that can assist them in addressing current issues in multicultural public health environments.
 

 

Study program
 
Students learn of main disciplines important to public health managers, such as epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental science, public health policy and health service management. They gain leadership skills that can assist them in promoting healthcare organizations worldwide.
 
This track strives to prepare healthcare leaders to deal with global current multi-cultural issues. They learn how to plan and implement policies and programs to answer needs in today’s healthcare systems. In addition, they address issues such as inequality, health promotion in the community. These tools can assist them in assisting international organizations such as UNICEF, WHO, the Red Cross and other civil society organizations.

 

 

 
Structure and duration
 
Students can complete this program in 3 semesters (October - September).
 
The program comprises core and concentration courses, a capstone project and a practicum. Courses are held 3 days a week. Students can take part in language course sin Hebrew and Arabic during the summer.
 
Students study in a non-thesis track, there is also an option to study in a thesis track, suitable for those interested in continuing to doctoral studies (PhD).

Faculty
 
The program director, Professor Manfred Green, is a professor of epidemiology. His research interests include infectious disease emergencies, evidence-based medicine and community intervention programs. In addition, he served as a founding director of the Israeli Center for Disease Control, as well as the head of public health in the IDF.

GPA of 3.0 (80%)

Diploma copy translated into English
Sealed official transcript
Command of English - those who’s degrees are not conducted in English must pass a proficiency test such as GRE, TOEFL, IELTS.
Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional sources
Personal CV
Personal statement of 500 - 750 words including an essay about previous experience and education and candidate’s reasons for pursuing an MPH degree. Candidates should also write about academic goals, motivation and inspiration in the global healthcare industry, suture objectives and more. They can also specify the ways in which their previous experience can add perspective to the MPH program and contribute to the healthcare leadership community.
 
 

 

 

Diploma
 
Upon completing all academic requirements, graduates receive an MPH Master of Public Health with a specialization in health system administration and health leadership from the University of Haifa.
