International Master of Public Health at The Hebrew University

The Hebrew University's Master of Public Health 
 
Health professionals around the world face challenges involving epidemic control, health education, battling stigmas that affect the lives of patients, implementation of new treatment methods and more.
 
The Hebrew University's Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine train health administrators and professionals and provides them with the knowledge and skills their difficult and complex role requires.
 
This international Master program was designed to answer the specific needs of health administrators in different parts of the world: in the US or Western Europe as well as in developing countries.
 
Study Program
 
The track will give the students better understanding of community, regional and national health systems in terms of management administration and long-term planning. Environmental and cultural factors relating to health issues are also addressed.
 
Graduates of the program are expected to be able to plan community and public health campaigns involving health education and practices, to manage and train other health professionals and to lead large scale medical researches or health surveys.
 
Duration and Structure
 
The International Master of Public Health track is studied at the Hebrew University's medical campus in Hadassah, Jerusalem. It is taught entirely in English and its duration is 12 months. Most of the final semester will be dedicated to writing a thesis or a final paper. In the non-thesis track students are required to take extra elective courses.

Faculty
 
The faculty professors have great experience in large-scale researches in Israel and around the world in various areas, such as: mother and child health, nutrition, lifestyle and physical activity, epidemiology and diabetics. Their researches were published in some of the most renowned health journals in the world and were the bases to several health campaigns.
 
Admissions
 
All applicants of the IMPH program in The Hebrew University must have academic degrees in medical or health areas such as medicine or nursing, or have an academic degree in life sciences or social sciences. Past practical experience in community and public health is a major factor taken under consideration.
 
Applicants must submit their CV, a personal statement and three letters of recommendation with their application form. Candidates who are not native English speakers must pass an English proficiency test.
 
Academic Degree
 
The graduates receive an MA degree in Public Health by The Hebrew University.
