TAU's International M.P.H. Program in Emergency and Disaster Management

Unfortunately, your job is always on demand…

What do New Orleans, Darfur, Kagoshima and Homs have in common? In recent years they have all been regions of crisis and disaster. Many national and international organizations worked in these places as well as in other parts of the world in order to ensure that their residents will have their basic needs, mostly in providing food and health services, and in some cases help in the reconstruction process.

Crisis managers have a significant role in such predicaments as they are responsible for coordinating the work of different organizations, allocating resources, assessing and prioritizing the needs of the local communities and much more. Since wars and natural crisis are consistent parts of human history, crisis managers and workers are always busy.
