English Programs at Lev Academic Center, Jerusalem College of technology

Academic institutions in Israel invite you to participate in international programs, earn credits or complete your degree. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to see the sites, to meet new people from all around the world, to hear Hebrew and Arabic, and to come to a closer understanding of Israeli society.

Program for International Students at Jerusalem College of Technology

Torah Way of Doing Business

Jerusalem College of Technology (JCT) is one of the few academic institutions in Israel to offer both academic tracks and Yeshiva studies for international students. Men and women study separately in two campuses (Machon Lev and Machon Tal respectively). In addition to in-class learning, students also take part in social activities, volunteer work, tours around Israel and more. As for now, JCT offers international students a year-long program including various courses in technology, economics and business, and a full B.A. in business management program.

Study Program

The students of JCT attend Yeshiva studies in English during the morning and academic studies in the afternoon. Although both Yeshiva and academic classes are held in English, participants may take Yeshiva classes in Hebrew or take Hebrew lessons (Ulpan) if they choose to do so. Those who wish to study in a Yeshiva elsewhere may attend only the academic studies in a special concentrated program held on Thursdays and Fridays.

A Year in Israel

In the year-long track students accomplish introductory courses in business management and in technology. Afterwards, they continue to study in their home countries, in institutions that recognize the credits earned in JCT. Many of the courses are credited in most universities and colleges in the US.

A Full Academic Program

The first year of the full undergraduate program is similar to the One Year in Israel Track with one exception; students must also take classes in Hebrew (Ulpan). After completing the first year students continue to attend both Yeshiva classes and academic courses until fulfilling their studies, but in the following three years most of the courses are taught in Hebrew.
