Bachelor of Politics and Government Programs in Israel

In Israel you can have a closer look and get a broader understanding on topics that you might have previously seen only on the news. This young country is still developing its moral compass and has yet to achieve greater efficiency in the bureaucratic system. Study Program
 
Government and Political Science B.A. programs in Israel aim to present their students with the theoretical basics of diplomacy and international relations, Israeli government, homeland security and internal affairs. Although most of the program is theoretical, the track has also practical aspect, mainly in courses or seminars involving conflict resolution on domestic or international levels.
 
Duration
 
The international B.A. program is designed to be completed in three years.
 
Curriculum

* Israel's Diplomacy and Foreign Policy
 
Admission
 
All applicants must submit their high school diploma and SAT (or other standardized test) scores. GPA ought to be above 3.0 and the SAT score should be above 1100. However, requirements change each year, and candidates may apply even if their scores are somewhat lower. English proficiency test is required in case candidates did not complete their high school studies in English speaking countries.
 
Tuition
 
Tuition fees at universities for international students are approx. $7,500 per year; however, they are more expensive in private colleges. The tuition fees in private colleges are approx. $11,000 annually.
 
Academic Institutions
 
Bar Ilan University (Ramat Gan) – Bar Ilan University offers a B.A. in communication and political science; this double major allows students to gain knowledge related to both the media and government.
 
Reichman University (Herzliya) – The University offers a full program in Government Studies. At their final year, students must select one or two study areas of specialization out of the four offered: International Affairs, Business Administration, Counter-Terrorism and The Middle East. During the studies, in addition to courses of the Government Program, students can also select courses from other departments, studied in English or Hebrew.
 
University of Haifa – offers an honors program in Peace and Conflict Studies. The program is a semestrial program, however, many students expands their stay for a full year. The participants of this track may choose an internship at Israeli NPO organizations during their stay in Israel. Qualified applicants are students of law, Middle East studies, political science and international affairs who have a 3.2 GPA.
